On earth, a reset button is pushed every 365 days and we have a new year. The new year ushers in a fresh start for everyone. The slate is wiped clean and we begin again. Some people contemplate the areas in their lives that need improvement. And others make new year's resolutions. But making changes in life can be very challenging. Statistics show that only 8% of all new year's resolutions are achieved. Therefore, the desire to change isn't always congruent with the willingness to change.
In contrast, when we turn our focus inwardly to make changes it can be much more meaningful. Instead of being externally motivated to change because it's a new year, try a different approach. Push your internal reset button to experience the new life you've always wanted. If you truly desire a change that is lasting, here are 3 keys to change your life. Accept God's Love For You First of all, it's important to accept that God loves you. The Apostle Paul says "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." When you're trying to make positive changes in life, there will be many distractions, including your own negative self-talk. But be reminded of God's love for you and that you are more than a conqueror through Him. Believe That Christ Makes All Things New Secondly, you must believe that God's plan for your life includes His son Jesus, who makes all things new. Because of God's love for us, He has provided a plan of salvation for everyone who believes. Our old life is transformed into a new life through Jesus Christ. Access The Kingdom Of God Thirdly, through our belief in Jesus Christ, we now have access to the Kingdom of God. Jesus said that the kingdom of God is within us. Life inside of God's kingdom offers the benefits of righteousness, peace and joy. These are all the things that God has provided for us so that we can live according to His purpose and plan. When you pursue the Kingdom of God first and foremost all of the other things you desire in life can be yours.
